Classic Alfa Projects

Over the summer months there has been a lot of activity here with cars being bought, sold and worked on.

Transactions have included the lovely 22,000 mile 2000 GTV selling for a UK record price for a standard RHD car, a project 1966 GT Junior sold to a customer in Malta, Richard’s old white 47,000 mile 1970 GTV Mk1 that sold before we had a chance to put it onto the website and more recently we have accepted an offer on a very original 2 owner GT1300 Junior in classic Yellow Ochre.

This 1750 GTV is a lovely original car that was sold to a new owner who had missed out on a beautiful red Series 1 1750 GTV that we sold back in the Spring.

This 1300GT Junior looked good in Yellow Ochre - one of our preferred colours in the office poll!

Incoming has been a pair of rare RHD 1750 Roundtail Spiders – a white one owned by a customer for over 20 years and the other a red low mileage 3 owner car which is currently undergoing restoration. We have also acquired from a Scottish customer a blue 1750 GTV Mk2 that has done only 34,000 miles from new.

Low mileage GTV from Scotland. It had been poorly repainted some time ago and we decided to strip it to bare metal.

The shell is in excellent original condition and needed only some minor repairs.

On the projects front, the ex-South African GT1300 Junior driven back from the South of France by Richard last year has been media blasted to see what work is required to turn it into a perfect GTA Replica bodyshell. It has revealed an excellent rust-free shell with a few of the usual poor quality older repairs needing our attention.

Our other major project is a 1961 Giulietta Sprint Speciale. It's nearing completion at the body shop and Richard is now considering what colour to have it painted. The current favourite is black!

Richard’s track day GTA Replica was road registered just in time for our June track day and since then has been the subject of more work as we test out various performance options to highlight which fast road or track upgrades really make a noticeable improvement to these fantastic cars.
